The Fan Controlled Football (FCF) league has already started to change the game in professional football by putting live game decisions in the hands of the fans. They are now revolutionizing it by marrying Web3 with live-action sports.
Created in 2017, FCF is a startup professional indoor football league that focuses on a true fan experience unlike any other. It’s the only professional sports league that empowers fans to make key decisions for their favorite team including calling plays in real-time.
All games are played in a single site in Atlanta, Georgia which mimics that of a TV studio. Each game will be live-streamed via major streaming platforms such as NBCLX, DAZN and Twitch.
Players are heard via helmet microphone and will have helmet-mounted cameras. Drones are used to give viewers a unique experience and perspective of the game as it happens.
The format is similar to that of Arena Football. The field of play is just 50 yards and no kickers or punters will be used. Teams are 7v7 and the games last 1 hour, so it provides fast-paced action. Offensive and defensive lines are managed in groups and not as individual players.
As evidence of its growing popularity, FCF teams are owned by superstar professional athletes, entertainers, and fans.
How do fans get involved in FCF?
FCF lets fans vote on all aspects of the game. A pool of players to choose from is available each week. Fans will call each play and players then execute those players on the field.
FanIQ, a data-driven online fan experience platform, allows fans to rack up points to better influence their votes on plays. The higher the IQ, the more weight is held on a potential play.
What is Ballerz Collective NFT?
The Ballerz Collective is FCF’s collection of NFT avatars with never-before-seen features. These NFTs allow FCF fans to have a say in a real-life FCF team’s name, logo, jersey design, and players.
Buying into Ballerz Collective NFT not only lets you own a unique digital avatar but you are also given access to an exclusive club that will manage four teams in the FCF League.
In addition to team management, thousands of Ballerz Collective holders also receive additional real-life benefits like:

FCF and the Ballerz Collective moving forward
With the NFL recently giving away a special NFT with every Super Bowl LVI ticket, as well as selling a collection of seven historic commemorative NFTs, it appears that NFTs and football are becoming a powerful business partnership.
The launch of its Ballerz Collective NFT may enable the unique Fan Controlled Football business to increase in visibility and popularity, helping it take off downfield toward growth and success.
