Bubblegum Kids Release Candyland Inspired Roadmap

Bubblegum Kids NFT

Up and coming NFT project, The Bubblegum Kids (BGK), recently updated their roadmap by fully leaning into their sugary-sweet theme. The roadmap, which has some serious Willy Wonka vibes, depicts what the team has named “Bubblegum Land” and features seven steps leading to a mysterious portal.

Step #1: Establish the community wallet

Like most NFT projects, the Bubblegum development team has promised to set up a community wallet that will be used for project growth. A percentage of mint sales will go to this wallet.

Step #2: Charity components announced

On October 11, the Bubblegum Kids donated 5 ETH (approximately $17,000 USD) to Children International, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending generational poverty and providing health care, educational resources and programs to children in need.

Step #3: Buy land in the metaverse for the community

This is where the road map begins to get really interesting. The BGK team has reserved a 3 x 3 piece of digital land in The Sandbox to host their holders. With growing interest in the metaverse, many projects have begun to explore how they can create new content, experiences and host new audiences in a virtual space.

Step #4: Custom BGK merchandise

Who doesn’t love a little swag (stuff we all get)? BGK holders will get access to custom merch once they reach step four on the road map. It is unclear if the merchandise will be free for holders or will be used to raise funds for the project. The team has promised hats, beanies and more.

Step #5: Establish “Bubblegum Labs”

This is probably the most interesting item on the Bubblegum Land map. It is unclear what the lab will entail for BGK holders, but we have seen great success from the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s labs where Bored Ape Yacht Club holders were able to claim Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs.

Step #6: Airdrop

There is no sweeter word to an NFT degen than “airdrop”. Details around what this means for BGK holders remains unclear, but we do know that an airdrop refers to free NFTs being delivered to wallets while the project covers the cost of gas. They have hinted that the airdrop will be “bubblegum related”.

Step #7: Bubblegum Kids comic begins

The developers have promised 10,000 full comics featuring bubblegum characters. This sounds like a tall order but sounds like a fun way to create new NFTs in the project. The team has stated that 50% of the profits from this release will be put back into the community wallet.

After this final step in the road map, you reach an intriguing portal located on an island that is currently switched to “OFF”. This leads us to believe this roadmap is only the beginning of the Bubblegum Kids journey and that the team clearly has more planned. We are looking forward to seeing what is on the other side of the BGK portal.

The Bubblegum Kids

The BGK collection is made up of 10,000 unique randomly generated Bubblegum Kids. The project is known for giving away high-end NFTs such as a Bored Ape, Lazy Lion and Cool Cat. The project is led by four Bored Ape Yacht Club holders @Bubblegum_NFT, @Shadow_NFT, @Cryptomoron_ and @KingODawg_, who are active members of the NFT community.
