Every NFT Project Coinbase Has Partnered With (So Far)

Coinbase is assembling an A-list of NFT superstars to launch their new NFT marketplace. Here are the Coinbase NFT partnerships we know, and the ones we think are coming.
Coinbase NFT Partnerships

OpenSea is currently the leading marketplace to purchase Ethereum based NFTs, meaning it has cornered 97% of the NFT market share. Despite its success, it has had some serious hiccups in the past few months that have become more and more glaring as the NFT space has grown (cue “BrokenSea” memes here) which has led NFT holders to call for an alternative.

Enter Coinbase NFT.

Coinbase, cryptocurrency’s largest trading platform, set the NFT world on fire back in October when it announced its plans to launch an NFT platform. Since then, it has been building a Monstars team (any Space Jam lovers here?) of NFT giants to launch their upcoming marketplace. The number of project partnerships has grown so significantly that even we started to lose count of this NFT “who’s who” list.

Here is a recap of all the major Coinbase NFT partnership announcements as of now, and a list of potential projects Coinbase may partner with:

World of Women

Ladies first. The leading all-women NFT collection was announced as the first major project joining team Coinbase back in November.

VeeFriends

Affectionally dubbed the Godfather of NFTs, it’s no surprise that Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends will be available on Coinbase’s highly anticipated marketplace.

Creature World

Artist Danny Cole’s Creatures, who live in a magical dimension of love, divine intervention, and possibility, will be skipping their way over to Coinbase.

Mekaverse

The Mekaverse bots will be transforming (see what we did there?) themselves over to Coinbase as soon as the new online market is launched.

RTFKT & Cool Cats

It’s not really a surprise that if Nike thought RTFKT was worthy to join their family, that Coinbase would have the same sentiment.

Coinbase also thinks these cats are cool enough to join their team.

Gutter Cat Gang

It’s not truly a party until the gang is all here. All four Gutter species will be available on the new Coinbase NFT marketplace. #GangGang

Adidas Original & Pixel Vault

The activewear behemoth Adidas had already partnered with Pixel Vault (and BAYC) to drop their hugely successful 30,000 NFT collection, so it makes sense that both will be coming over to team Coinbase.

Lazy Lions

Arguably one of the loudest NFT communities out there, Lazy Lions holders roared all through Twitter when it was announced the Kings and Queens of the Pride would be partnering with Coinbase.

Rumble Kong League

Step back, shoot, they score. The Rumble Kongs are having a huge year after partnering with major NBA stars like Steph Curry. It’s no surprise they will be shooting hoops on the Coinbase court.

Adam Bomb Squad

The explosive Adam Bomb Squad has partnered with Coinbase NFT. We suspect they will make quite an impact.

Sup Ducks

Whassssssup! Oh, sorry. It’s 2022, not 2002

Last but not least, Sup Ducks are going to be dipping their toes in the Coinbase pond.

Potential Project Partnerships

We suspect that Coinbase NFT is not done recruiting top NFT projects for its new online platform and that more announcements are yet to come. Our bets are on the following projects joining the platform, but only time will tell.

Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) / Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC)

It is pretty inconceivable that the biggest NFT brand in the universe would not be joining Coinbase NFT. They haven’t officially declared their partnership with the most famous apes in the world, but one of the first things they did after the announcement of their platform was launch a giveaway to recruit users to sign up for a Coinbase NFT account, and guess what the prize was? A Bored Ape. Considering Coinbase has already partnered with Pixel Vault and Adidas, who are also teamed up with BAYC, we are going to assume this one is in the bag.

Deadfellaz

Deadfellaz is assumed to be joining the platform considering Coinbase NFT’s Twitter account is showcasing the green cuties in their banner, but they have not officially announced it as of yet.

Bubblegum Kids

The #BGK community went nuts last month when Coinbase showed the bubblegum-obsessed kids some love on Twitter. It’s probably a good sign they are considering inviting the kids to play over at the Coinbase playground. As arguably the most kid-friendly project on the block, Bubblegum Kids could corner the NFT family market, which Coinbase will definitely want to be a part of.

Desperate Ape Wives

Rumour has it that the Desperate Ape Wives (DAW) have an upcoming meeting with Coinbase on the books. Though the project is quite new, they made a huge splash at Art Basel last year and they have several notable celebrity holders, including Paris Hilton. After World of Women, DAW has the second-highest floor of any other women’s PFP project at the time of this writing. Their fun references to pop culture have made them a fan favorite, so it’s not far-fetched that Coinbase NFT would consider onboarding them.

The Doge Pound

Doge Pound Studios founder John Lemon recently announced in their discord that they are currently in talks with Coinbase. The Doge Pound has been actively engaging with Coinbase online and is one of the largest communities currently in NFTs, so we would be surprised if they are not picked to join Coinbase.
