Roadmap & Utility

Community Wallet
As outlined in their first official “Pink Paper“, the community wallet was established and contained 28ETH as of December 25th, 2021. Bubblegum Labs has given the Bubblegum DAO complete control of the community wallet.

Charity
As part of the initial roadmap, the BGK team donated 5 ETH to Children International: an organization that works to create a world without poverty where every child, family and community is connected, productive and thriving. On February 28, the team announced they donated 5 ETH towards supporting the people of Ukraine.

Bubblegum Land
The BGK team has purchased a 3X3 piece of land in the Sandbox and has even been featured as a Sandbox partner. The estate is deemed to have a premium geographical location and some initial concepts being developed include areas such as Candy Forest, Puppy Park and Gingerbread Village!

Merch
Genesis Bubblegum Kids merch was dropped on Friday, November 26th and was only available for 72 hours. The first 100 orders received a special limited-edition patch and each order was entered into a raffle to win 1/1 custom BGK shoes.

Bubblegum Puppies
The standalone Bubblegum Puppies collection is part of the Bubblegum Universe and was a free claim for all Bubblegum Kids holders. Owning a puppy provides you with unique utility such as access to Puppy Park within the Sandbox land, merch drops and DAO voting rights.

Comics
Concepts and designs are underway for the upcoming comics! Owning a puppy plus a kid gives you access to a comic – an IRL collectible item. We invite you to view recently teased artwork as seen in a recent tweet that was shared on the official Bubblegum Kids Twitter account.

Community

Discord Games and Initiatives
There is never a dull moment on the BGK playground! From Gum Races to Poker Nights to Gartic Games, there is an activity for everyone. In addition to the main chat, you’re welcome to pop by a number of themed channels to discuss things like food, working out and more!

Honorary BGK
This small and limited collection is reserved for BGK members that go above and beyond to contribute to the growth of the Bubblegum community. Each Honorary BGK is given a rare 1/1 Bubblegum Kid that is designed uniquely for them that they can use as their PFP. Holding an Honorary BGK does not have the same utility as owning a Bubblgegum Kids NFT.

The Bubblegum DAO
The DAO is meant to equip and empower each Bubblegum Kids and/or Puppies holder so that they are able to effectively contribute to the growth of the BGK brand and overall community. Holders will be able to vote on proposals and help determine how the community wallet will be used.

Although final details have not been announced, the team is looking at the possibility of issuing governance tokens. For every Kid or Puppy that a person holds, they would be given a token which equals one vote. So, the more NFTs you hold, the more votes you will then be entitled to.

Bubblegum High Council
To lead and support the Bubblegum DAO, a High Council has been formed made up of eight individuals chosen by the community, otherwise known as the “Elite Eight”. High Council members gather community feedback and work together to create proposals that are presented to, and voted, on by the project’s holders. They also have direct communication with the developers of Bubblegum Labs and help manage how the community wallet is spent. A term on the High Council lasts one year.

The High Council selection process included the following stages:
1) Nomination Phase: deadline is February 2nd at 12pm EST
2) Lobbying Phase: February 7th-14th
3) Final Vote Phase: February 14th-17th
